On April 27, I presented together with Dr. Julio Ciller and Ms. Carolina DeAnda Treviño at the first Taller para Español como Lengua de Herencia at UTRGV. Organized by the new Spanish Department, this workshop took place over two days and included many interesting and informative session.
In our presentation, I reviewed the background on the CoBiVa and showed attendees the site and how it works. Dr. Julio Ciller reviewed literature on language ideologies in Spanish as a Heritage Language. Ms. Carolina DeAnda reviewed the CoBiVa Language Ideologies module who she and I created, and how she incorporated it into her elementary classroom. Dr. Julio Ciller translated the module as Ideologías Lingüísticas.
